Introducing the visionary behind Silky Gem
Greetings! I am Gia, the proud founder of Silky Gem. Born and raised in Vietnam within a humble family, indulging in Lunar New Year's treats was a rare luxury during my childhood. Among the treasured confections, "Mứt Rau Câu, Mứt Rong Sụn" stood out as a particular delight. Each year, my mother and grandmother would meticulously craft these candies, along with other crystallized treats known as "Mứt," following our cherished family traditions passed down through generations.
On Lunar New Year, we would arrange an assortment of sweets on a tray, inviting guests to share in our tradition of sweet treats and tea. I can still recall the taste and the immense joy that consumed me whenever I savored these special delicacies.
When I moved to the United States, these cherished memories often resurfaced, compelling me to revive these traditional treats. Drawing inspiration from the artistry of Japanese Kohakutou and combining it with the essence of Vietnamese Lunar New Year Mứt Rau Câu, I set out on a mission. It is my sincerest hope that these candies, meticulously crafted by Silky Gem, will bring boundless joy and good fortune to all who encounter them.

I greatly enjoy these candies. I am definitely hooked. They have just the right amount of sweetness. I also enjoy the crunchiness. My favorite so far are the Jam ones. Yum!
I have been interested in ordering these for months and finally decided to place an order for a gift for a friend. I also ordered myself a small box to sample. I am so glad I did!! I will be ordering more.
The very first one I tried was the passion fruit gem. The flavor was light and pleasant. The texture of the bite really shined on this one! For me, I love a tactile bite and this delivered. Then i tried the coconut butterfly pear. The color is GORGEOUS, and the flavor was soooo good. I am in love with it! Then i tried the strawberry… tastes sooo fresh. Ive had just these three so far and I am just in love. These would make an awesome unique gift! I know I would be thrilled to receive them! Im looking forward to trying them all!
I also love that these are gluten free! My sensitivity keeps me from eating most sweets. And the fact that it has that crunch I crave that is missing from most gluten free foods is sooo valuable to me!

This is amazing! I love all the candies from Silky Gem (I’ve tried a lot) but I was hankering for something different and just tried this pickle box. Absolutely amazing flavor combo ALL OVER TIKTOKwith the Chamoy sauce, pickles, Tajin with a fruit roll up!! This unique and interesting flavor combo is emulated in the pickle candies with small adorable Tajin bottle and a mini Chamoy sauce! I do not regret stepping outta my comfort zone to take a chance on this box. It is incredible. Well done!!

Ordered the treasure box for my daughter and I to try! She loves ASMR and could not wait to try them herself and make some fun pretend videos. The clusters were a bit too crunchy for us but we still enjoyed every single flavor and cute design! Will absolutely order again and again! Some already eaten out of the box photographed!
This box was great. The flavors seem to be more intense since the last time I ordered. Thank you for adding a mango tamarind. I wish I could buy a box of just those bc then I would go on auto order.

i just ordered the skull & my only problem was that i didn’t order the whole box!! it was so beautiful & the taste is absolutely amazing!! i want to say the flavor i got is honeydew & i couldn’t be happier!! the prettiest crystal candy i’ve ever seen!
